Apparently Dannii Minogue is a fan – and she looks terrificĀ despite being a working mum and juggling a career and all her mummy duties.

The power plate, seen in gyms all over the country, is the new exercise bike as mums can do it at home when the kids are at school or in their beds.

So when the xxx people asked me to try I thought – could be perfect to help kick-start the fitness regime… so as I eat my last Haribo and my last packet of salt and vinegar crisps, I resolve to be good for a whole month and share my eating habits and good recipes; and let you know if the power plate works or not…

I am going to do a daily blog on getting back into my fitness routine. I am a sporadic runner. I run about three miles, three times a week when I can fit it in and that’s hard when you have four little kids under nine.

So from today… I am at the mercy of cutting down my portions, wobbling on a power plate and running when I can get out. If you can, follow me ‘being good’ and getting back to the weight I want to be… I have about 10 pounds to lose.
