This year, my holiday make-up kit contains Elemis Pro Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm (£32) – the latest radiance booster, moisturiser & primer all rolled into one (oh, how we love a multi tasking product at Yummy HQ) – an energising skin radiance balm that instantly brightens for smooth, dewy luminosity. Clinique’s Moisture Surge CC Cream SPF 30 (£28) is a lightweight, multi-functional CC Cream that hydrates, protects & perfects with a refreshing texture and medium coverage, or if you prefer something a little lighter, try

Aerin’s Fresh Skin Compact Makeup (£37) – the perfect multi tasking foundation for the summer as it doubles up as a concealer; this ultra smooth, non drying, cream to powder formula glides on seamlessly, and is buildable so you can create a sheer look for the day, or greater depth of coverage for the evening. I’m loving Laura Mercier’s Long Lash Mascara in Bleu (£18.50); it leaves lashes lustrous and long with a deep blue, fluttery pop of colour.

Aerin’s Pretty Bronze Illuminating Powder (£34) dusted on cheekbones, collar bones & décolleté gives the most stunning, natural glow for a perfect radiant sun kissed finish. Benefit’s Dandelion (£23.50) is my absolute favourite brightening face product; a beautiful pale pink, super fine pressed powder with a subtle sparkle which really lifts & livens the face.

Laura Mercier’s Secrets Volume 5 Set (£42.50) is my must have summer set; perfect to pop in your bag for the holiday, it contains smaller sized products for a radiant, summery look – Radiance Foundation Primer, Shimmer Bloc in Pink Mosaic, Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Pink Spark and the beautiful Lip Glacé in Gossamer, a perfect youthful touch of colour for the day.

For a vibrant pop of super flattering colour for the evening Clinique have at last brought back their best selling Long Last Lipstick i Runway Coral (£16) – a sophisticated bright corally red which looks incredible with a tan (& makes your teeth look super white!).

Holiday Hair

There are only three hair products that I’m taking with me; MoroccanOil’s Moisture Repair Shampoo (£15.85) & Conditioner (£16.55) to counteract the drying effects of the sun, sea & chlorine. Safe to use even on coloured weak or damaged locks; your hair will be left beautifully soft & swingy with renewed elasticity, moisture and shine. I’ll also be taking my MoroccanOil Treatment Oil (£30.45) which I reach for every time I wash my hair. It smells divine, leaves hair frizz free, smooth & silky with an incredible shine; I wouldn’t be without it!

Holiday Hands & Feet

I’ve been experimenting with a pop of colour with one of Essie’s new summer collection nail varnishes (£7.99 each) in Naughty Nautical; a bright sparkly teal, Sunday Funday; definitely my favourite of the bunch, a beautiful tangerine crush coral with a light shimmer, Rock The Boat; a shimmering baby blue or The Girls Are Out; a soft fuchsia peony infused with a subtle sparkle; topped off with my all time favourite Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat (£9) – you can’t beat this fast acting, long lasting, super glossy top coat!

Nothing looks worse than tired, dried up feet in summer sandals; slather Jessica’s deliciously tingly ZenSpa Stimulating Mint Masque (£17.10) on your feet & leave for 5 minutes. It deeply hydrates, conditions & breaks down dead skin cells, soothing & softening dry summer feet. Finally, massage in Mandara Spa’s Island Paradise softening foot butter (£4) daily, to further soften and condition with its revitalizing, uplifting scent of grapefruit & lemon – you feet will be as soft & smooth as a baby’s bottom!

Holiday Body

The Skin Nourishing Body Scrub (£28.50) from Elemis’s Sp@home range is a luxuriously creamy body scrub which leaves skin feeling soft, supple & silky smooth; free of dry, rough areas & perfectly prepped for Sisley’s Self Tanning Hydrating Body Skin Care (£72), a lovely self tanning lotion which has none of that nasty fake tan smell. It has a velvety smooth texture & is beautifully hydrating, taking just 2 hours to develop into a gorgeous, long lasting, streak free, natural golden glow; perfect so that you don’t look like a total newbie the first day you arrive on the beach!

For a cooling, moisturising hit for face & body, pop a bottle of Caribbean Essentials Radiance Facial Spritz (£18) in your beach bag; containing Neroli, Aloe Vera & Witch Hazel, it smells amazing & is an intense hydration hit for parched, hot skin in need of a refreshing, uplifting pick me up. For skin with a seductive glimmer & perfect for an evening out, smooth on Kiko’s After Sun Cream Glow (£15.90) – a brightening & moisturising after-sun cream which helps to enhance & prolong the tan & stop skin peeling.

Finally, my signature scent this summer has been the gorgeous Botanical Essence No 100 by Liz Earle (£47); its a fresh, uplifting floral fragrance, totally different from any other; I have received so many compliments whilst wearing this perfume, it really seems to get you noticed & lifts the spirits!
