This charity is very close to my heart as I lost my mother to ovarian cancer almost two years ago. My mum, the lovely Beth Hunter, fought her illness bravely for nearly four years – where doctors didn’t expect more than months at diagnosis.

Ovarian cancer is a very difficult one to diagnose and so women can have it without knowing until it really is too late to treat. However, if found early, there is a 90 per cent survival rate.

Deputy editor Tara Adamson has found this little gem to help raise awareness and money for this charity. Please give what you can and buy this Kiss of Hope.

Lip Glacé – Kiss of Hope

The Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund (LMOCF) was originally created in September 2012 in the USA as a collaboration between Laura Mercier and Claudia Poccia (CEO of Gurwich Products) to shine a light on ovarian cancer; a disease which had touched them both through the experiences of loved ones.

Following on from its success in the US, the LMOCF launches in the UK this month to raise awareness, fund research and support women in the UK.

This Laura Mercier collection consists of three products – Bonne Mine Healthy Glow for Face & Cheeks Crème Colour Palette (£37), Kiss of Hope Lip Glacé (£19) and the Matte Radiance Healthy Glow Baked Powder and Mini Face Brush (£24.).

I tried the appropriately named Kiss of Hope Lip Glacé, a limited edition shade; it is a sweetly scented, pinky peach whisper of colour with subtle shimmer; flattering, plumping and super glossy.

This is a long lasting, non sticky gloss which would suit all skin tones; it can be worn alone for a naturally flattering look or over lipstick for an almost 3D sheen.

Kiss of Hope comes with an informative leaflet about Ovarian Cancer and what you need to know, what you can do and what factors may increase your risk.

If you can, please do support this fantastic cause, as 100% of the profits go directly to the Fund.
