Apparently it’s Valentine’s Day this month…. incase you hadn’t seen the over-abundance of advertising in every shop from Greggs to Timpsons the shoes shop!

So with that in mind – and only distantly I add – came across a few goodies this month that you just have to check out for yourself – and perhaps – you – like me – will fall in love with them – ah the grooming and beauty Cupid sights again!

Oqibo Fig Leaf Candle £22

I came across this brand relatively recently and I’m hooked. They offer a full range of excellent products that really will become a force in the competitive skincare market.

I’ll take you through their range over the coming months – but I first wanted you to go buy one of their amazing candles. Honestly our home hasn’t smelt this great for a long time. In fact I’m so reluctant to light the candle now as it’s getting close to the end….and I don’t think I can live without it – seriously!

There are more fragrances to choose from in the range (and I can’t wait to try them all), but I chose the Fig Leaf. Releasing a light floral tone initially, it then gives way to a heady green fragrance delivering a clear, cleansing top note hinting at fresh fruit, young spring trees and gently warming fields. Grab a book, curl up on the couch and while away a long and leisurely Sunday afternoon alone or in company. It’s simply great and comes in a frosted glass, complete with silver lid and Oqibo matches.

Burning for more than 40 hours – its a sheer delight. www.oqibo.co.uk

Dermalogica Super Sensitive Shield SPF50, £38.10

Oh this is a dream product and I’m in love with it. It’s a non-chalky, broad spectrum moisturiser with all the goodies packed into it – ensuring even sensitive skin is protected from damaging light – even in this harsh, horrible February weather.

Crammed with antioxidants and vitamins you can use it everyday and in no time your skin will be showing how happy it is with you for buying it. It really is a love potion your skin will thank your for – every day!

I don’t say those words lightly either. Try it and discover the difference in no time. www.dermalogica.co.uk

Creed Himalaya 120ml, £180

Over the years I’ve worn many aftershaves and fragrances, but I never grow tired of my favourite brand Creed – and in particular Himalaya. It’s my personal ‘love story’ encompassed in a sleek silvery bottle that never fails to draw attention for everyone whenever I wear it. Time and time again I’m asked what scent I am wearing and without fail – itsl always been when I have been wearing Himalaya.

Olivier Creed found the inspiration for this majestic, complex masculine fragrance in the rugged beauty of the world’s highest mountain range. Spicy, woody heart notes conjure the aromas of Nepalese villages while the fresh citrus top notes reflect the cool freshness of the mountain air.

Top notes: Bergamot, Grapefruit, Lemon, Mandarin

Heart notes: Juniper Berry, Nutmeg, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Pepper

Base notes: Ambergris, Musk, Tonka Bean

Share my love story and try it out for yourself. It will be love at first squirt!
