‘So if I had been at an other slimming class, everyone would be delighted. But I had fallen off the programme a bit – without really realising it, I had begun to substitute a smoothie – with a soup or an omelette. So my protein level had dropped.’
So after a couple of weeks of non-stop working and falling off the Herbalife wagon, I’m back on track. I didn’t go too far, but my routine was off a bit. I ended up eating lunch and dinner – not loads but only a smoothie for breakfast. Instead of two smoothies, and a small dinner. I was working away from home during the day; and I just wasn’t organised.
But in the last couple of weeks, I have pulled it back. I have stepped up the tea drinking – the special tea helps speed up your metabolic rate and doesn’t de-hydrate you. I’ve also been drinking the full two litres of water every day, and keeping to the two smoothies a day and either a soup or a small meal for supper.
I get my weigh-in and results from David, my coach tomorrow. Wish me luck…
Right, I have lost another two pounds. (Seven pounds in total) So I start off feeling quite pleased with myself, but David, in his expert way, is pleased, but the ratio of fat loss to muscle is not right, so he has a more serious look in his face. You see a couple of weeks ago, I lost fat and put on muscle. And this is the way, it stays off. The way you look more lean. The way your biological age comes down… all this.
So if I had been at an other slimming class, everyone would be delighted. But I had fallen off the programme a bit – without really realising it, I had begun to substitute a smoothie – with a soup or an omelette. So my protein level had dropped.
So I have to get back on track – and follow the progamme to the letter… this is where many of us fall down. We lose a bit of weight, then we tweak the diet plan to suit ourselves. Hmmm, you can’t do this, not really. Follow the advice…
The biggest change though is my energy is up… I feel great. See my coach David talk about Herbalife below…
What it’s all about
So, I’ve signed up for 90 days of Herbalife to see if I can finally lose a bit of body fat and get back to a bit of the shape I had before all the babies – I have four. Not that I have huge amounts of weight to lose, about a stone, but as all mums know, it’s just so hard to stick to diets when you’re running around after the children and working at the same time.
So I started the challenge last Thursday… see link… and now I am on the Run programme with David Forbes from Perth.
What it consists of is a smoothie for breakfast and lunch – both are packed full of nutrients and vitamins to replace a meal – and then you just eat as normal at dinner time. Plus a snack bar and fruit. It’s not so bad. Really.
In the three days since I started, I haven’t felt hungry. At all. Plus I have lost body fat and my body is working better. It’s all measured on a machine. I have lost nearly two pounds too. So it’s a good start. I will explain all the science as I go along and try to explain it as I begin to understand it myself.
So far, so good. The great thing about it is I feel I am doing something positive in terms of my body and the feeling of helplessness you can get when you are overweight. You want to so something about it, but it’s hard to get started.
