We make the noodles, dumplings and all the other dishes ourselves from fresh ingredients with no artificial colourings or preservatives.

If this is your first visit here, we would like to explain our Chinese style of serving. In China, diners order collectively and share all dishes, which are brought to the table in random order as soon as they are ready. In this way, mixing the textures and flavours of the dishes adds to the enjoyment of the meal.

Positioned in the heart of Edinburgh’s Bruntsfield, Montpeliers has been a firm favourite amongst locals for over 20 years. From our food and drink to our interior, we work closely with local suppliers to ensure we get the best produce possible. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.

Browns, Edinburgh is on George Street, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the centre of the elegant 18th century new town.

The stylish building nestles among the neo-classical town houses and pretty Georgian squares.

We have an exclusive private dining area for up to 32 people, that’s perfect for birthdays, celebrations and business lunches.

Close to the shops and popular tourist attractions, Browns Bar & Brasserie is a firm favourite with visitors and locals alike. We offer seasonal Scottish dishes as well as our traditional classics.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

We’re delighted to announce that our Festive Afternoon Tea is now on offer. We’ve taken some of your favourite Christmas treats and given them a Colonnades twist.  Still need to buy the perfect gift for a loved one?  An afternoon tea voucher could be just the thing!

We are also a proud official supporter of the Virgin Money Street of Light event that takes place throughout December. We have created a special winter warmer menu so why not come and dine with us before one of the two performances each night. With ‘build a hot chocolate’ for the kids to Christmas cocktails for the adults the warming food and sharing platters will ensure you have a night to remember.
