She was once at the centre of the world’s stock exchange – but a step-mum of four has given that all up to start her own business.

And her love for fitness has inspired her new business.. her own sportswear brand called vivimoss.

The 32-year-old combines her new career with a busy home life which she shares with her partner and his four children – three boys and a girl, aged from seven to 15.

She said: “After ten years in a job that was not fulfilling my hopes and dreams, I decided that I needed to make the leap. I felt that I couldn’t find the kind of fitness clothing that I wanted to wear – simple and functional, yet comfortable and stylish, and that could take me from the gym to dog walking, to popping to the shops, or out for coffee.

“Being with someone who has four children was a bit of a lifestyle change for me… not least the amount of washing and dishwasher unloading! Although there is a lot of juggling, the freedom of running my own business gives me space to get a lot of the daytime jobs done, which frees us up to spend quality time with the children when they are staying with us.”

The vivimoss ladieswear range is already proving popular with active mums  thanks to its comfort and style.

Lauren said: “Vivimoss has the kind of fitness and leisure range that as a committed amateur athlete I love to wear and I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting to wear quality fitness kit that is flexible, attractive and comfortable.”

Vivimoss_Gym_280514_078At the core of the vivimoss brand are the key pre-requisites of simplicity, high quality, well-made, fresh new lifestyle orientated clothing.

Lauren added: “I also wanted to embed in vivimoss the kind of ethical and green credentials that I would be proud of, and I hope our customers will be proud of too.”

To that end Lauren has visited the factories where vivimoss products are made and all manufacturers are inspected and comply with the Business Social Compliance Initiative.

In addition vivimoss operates strict green business policies and continually strives to improve where possible.

Lauren stressed: “The Spanish speaking will recognise the word ‘vivimos’ as we live or a toast to life. For me, that’s what it’s all about – following my dream and loving life.”

Her designs, for both men and women, are now stocked in a number of independent outlets in addition to the vivimoss online store.
