beauty faceWell this just has to be real glamping….

A beauty salon and hair dressers on a camp site? Hold us back!

And now the Atholl Beauty Room, the in house hair and beauty salon within the multiple rated Blair Atholl Caravan Park at Blair Atholl, has announced that it is going to be giving customers the ultimate convenience – the chance to book online in advance of their holiday.

Hairdresser Kathleen Black said:: “We’re very excited about expanding this business to incorporate online booking – it is what customers want nowadays as what we are offering can be a holiday treat, a chance to unwind once you get to the park.”

“We cater for all ages. We can get gentlemen who have simply not had time to get their haircut before coming away on holiday. We get a lot of children in for trims, and little girls wanting a special hair up style for a treat. We also cater for weddings taking place at Blair Castle. That is something we all enjoy very much as it’s really a complete service from start to finish for the bride, bridesmaids , mothers of the bride and groom and so on. The beauty side is really important for this too as they can get everything done here, from hair to nails to makeup,” said Kathleen.

Beautician Angie McLay added that having a dedicated salon on site really does give the Blair Atholl Caravan Park the edge against other caravan parks.

”Caravanning as a whole has certainly changed a great deal” she said, ”Customer expectations are high and it has a far more glamorous image now. Coming for a massage whilst on holiday can really help you unwind and enhance the holiday, for example,” she said.

Angie has embraced Highland Perthshire life and has a pony called Lochie on the estate.  She has also athoparticipated in a male waxing event at the Blair Atholl Horse Trials in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind and regularly gives talks on hair and beauty to local women’s groups.

“We like to help out when we can,” said Angie. “We never turn down a request for a donated treatment for charity. Our young assistant Caitlin has just organised a charity fund raiser at her college for Rachel House, MIND and Yorkhill Hospital so she is getting in lots of practise and is a real credit to herself.”

Commenting on the Hair and Beauty Salon business, Andrew Bruce Wootton, Estate Manager for Atholl Estates said: “I commend Kathleen, Angie and the team for their commitment to this business which is growing all the time. I am sure that customers old and new will appreciate the convenience of the new online booking facility.”
