Ok, I admit it; I tend to go a teensy bit overboard when packing holiday beauty products (but don’t we all?) This time, however, I’ve toned it down a bit and tried to limit what I’m taking to those products I consider to be ‘essentials‘… (and yes, I will use everything!)

Why not follow me on Twitter; @TaraYMB I’d be happy to answer any beauty related comments or questions you may have.

Firstly, holiday cleansing; if you’re a fan of cleansing oils, then Shu Uemura’s new Skin Purifier Anti/Oxi Skin Refining Anti-Dullness Cleansing Oil (£59) is a super soft oil, perfect for removing all makeup, even stubborn waterproof mascara. It leaves your skin clear and glowing and comes in an enormous 450ml bottle which would last me well over a year!

Or, if you’re a cleansing balm addict, like me, I’ve been loving the new Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm from Elemis (£39.50) a gorgeous lavender scented, smooth, buttery soft treatment balm which deeply cleanses and nourishes skin; perfect when used alongside Elemis’s new White Flowers Eye & Lip Make-Up Remover (£19); an unscented, super gentle bi-phase formula which instantly removes all eye makeup, including waterproof with no dragging or irritation.

After cleansing, a spritz of Omorovicza’s delicious Queen of Hungary Mist (£46) will give a fragrant, uplifting and hydrating boost; it locks in moisture and adds another hydrating layer to the skin which can dry out a little in the heat.

You only need a small dot of Dermalogica’s citrussy Multivitamin Power Serum (£59) to penetrate deep into the skin, assisting the natural recovery process and acting as a defence against sun induced skin aging; it strengthens skin, boosting elasticity and decreases fine lines.

Soap & Glory’s Puffy Eye Attack (£12) is a cooling, turbo boosting hydragel which stimulates and rejuvenates puffy, dark under eye circles and when kept in the fridge, is fantastic for soothing red, hayfevery eyes. Sisley’s Sisleÿa Global Anti-Age moisturiser for day and night (£251) is a super multi-tasking and highly effective anti-aging cream which regenerates and restructures lines and wrinkles; it leaves my skin beautifully smoothed and firm.

Now that my boys are a little bigger, it’s occasionally possible to slope off for 20 minutes peace and quite before we head off out in the eveningTime for a quick restorative mask then; the three star products I’m taking with me are …. Sisley’s Black Rose Cream Mask (£90) my favourite pick me up; a fabulous rose scented, fresh, creamy mask that plumps, moisturises and refreshes dried out, tired skin leaving it unbelievably radiant – pricey, but so worth it!

Voya’s Get Glowing Illuminating Clay Mask (£32) is a detoxifying marine clay mask made with a blend of mineral rich seaweed, patchouli & rosemary; it brightens & purifies skin leaving it literally glowing with health and, Murad’s Intensive-C Radiance Peel (£49.50) – this deliciously tingly summer skin saviour aims to mimic the results of a professional by gently exfoliating, evening out skin tone and boosting natural collagen production leaving skin with an amazing glow.
