Clinique Chubby Stick – Shadow Tint for Eyes, £16

If you’re after a big hit of colour, these are possibly not for you; however, if you’re after a delicate, shimmery wash of colour, then these will be right up your street! They are effortless to use, even for novices and very forgiving; not as harsh as powder eyeshadows, plus, there is never any fallout. The shape of the tip perfectly fits the contour of your eyelid and helps to make application foolproof.

Lightweight, buttery soft and long lasting, these are super cool, chunky crayons which deliver a delicate, semi-sheer wash of colour; I’ve been using an eyeshadow primer prior to application as they do have a tendency to crease a little. These Eye Shadow Tints look more heavily pigmented when swatched on your hand than they do when used on the eyelid; I’ve been playing with Bountiful Beige, Fuller Fudge and Lots O’Latte – beautiful natural colours which blend together seamlessly. They are available in 12 easy to wear shades with great names such as Whopping Willow and Curvaceous Coal; perfect for a quick pop of colour for us gals on the go.

Yes! Nurse Handcream, £5.49

Yes Nurse BottleLaunched over a year ago, to much acclaim, Yes! Nurse was originally created by a paediatric nurse. It was developed specifically for nurses who had similar problems to herself, due to the need for constant hand-washing. We often neglect our poor hands, and because they’re so busy, we really should remember to give them a little extra TLC.

Yes! Nurse is a thick, intensively moisturising cream which is absorbed almost instantly, leaving hands soft, soothed and hydrated with absolutely no stickiness. It contains all natural ingredients such as wheat germ, sweet almond and pomegranate seed oils, active manuka honey, salicylic acid, aloe vera and willow bark extracts and vitamins B5 and E to “prepare lipid barrier protection, maintain balanced skin and restore and renew.” I’ve been applying it thickly every time I’ve washed my hands as they get so painfully dry, sore and cracked.

I often find handcreams really make my hands itch, but this was non irritating and left my hands feeling healed and protected. It comes in a neat little pocket-sized squeezy tube; I’m loving the simple, super cute packaging with funny sayings on the box – it made me smile! I only wish they start selling huge pump pots of this cream as I’m getting through it really quickly. Keep an eye out this summer for some exciting new products from Yes! Nurse; can’t wait.

Clarins Instant Smooth Crystal Lip Balms

Lip BalmsWow – these are seriously gorgeous! There’s a huge novelty value with these iconic Clarins Instant Smooth Crystal Lip Balms; they’re so unusual to look at – slightly space age & uber cool. The chic gold casing is nicely solid so it can withstand being knocked around in your handbag and the lid closes with a reassuring click. Inside is a lipstick shaped bullet; but here’s the futuristic bit – it has a highly pigmented central core surrounded by a clear, lightly hydrating, unusually coloured lip balm with a delicate, faintly sweet smell. This Limited Edition Collection is available in four colourways – Crystal Rose; a bright, vibrant lipstick pink, perfect for a great pop of colour over the summer. Crystal Mandarin; a big, bold, hit of almost neon orange which would look amazing with a tan. Crystal Berry; a very wearable pinky, purply plum surrounded by a blue transparent balm and Crystal Gold Plum; a beautiful cool, bronzy shade encased in a clear green balm. Don’t be put off by the slightly unusual coloured balms; they go onto the lip with no noticeable trace. I found it slightly tricky to apply colour to the outer edges of my lips as the colour core is located in the centre of the stick. These balms initially have a quite a deep colour payoff; they are not shiny like a gloss, but have a beautiful, gentle sheen. These Limited Edition lovelies are likely to fly out of stores, so grab them while you can – £18 each
